Behind the Name

What is being an Austinite if not being a true coffee addict?

In my two years living in Austin as an undergraduate student at the best university in the world (hookem!), I have learned the value of a good cup of coffee.  Whether it is for meeting a friend or getting in some much needed studying, a quality cup of joe can make all the difference.
Here is a list of some of my favorite coffee shops in Austin:

1. Vintage Heart Coffee – the lavender latte (both iced and hot) is one of my favorite
2. Quack’s 43rd Street Bakery –  grab a cup of coffee and a sweet treat to go with it
3. Walton’s Fancy and Staple – another awesome lavender latte and PLUS it’s owned by Sandra Bullock
4. Mozart’s Coffee Roasters – the bottomless drip coffee with a view of Town Lake
5. Thunderbird Coffee – the honey nut latte is second to none other
6. Figure 8 Coffee Purveyors – an off the beaten path coffee shop located in East Austin with one of the best lattes around
7. Cenote – another East Austin favorite that’s perfect for grabbing a cappuccino and some guacamole
8. Royer’s Pie Haven – coffee & pie, a perfect combination, and only a short walk from campus
9. Tom’s Roasting Company – each cup of coffee helps give clean water to someone in need
10. Flightpath Coffee – the best study spot in town with a great cup of coffee
